5:45PM Stop for fast food dinner (Bring $10 or less in cash)
6PM Higher Things Registration and check-in (Parents contacted on arrival)
7:30PM Retreat Begins

Please meet up at Lamb of God on Friday, Feb. 17th, 2012 at 4pm. It is important to be there on time.

WHAT TO BRING?
You should have a few dollars on you for fast food stop, sleeping bag, pillow and toiletry supplies such as toothbrush, hairbrush, toothpaste etc….

We encourage you to sign up for the talent show. We ask that you keep it simple. Please, not a lot of props.

You should wear appropriate clothing for the weekend. If you are not sure, use your school clothing guidelines. Thank you.

The church now prepares to enter the penitential season of Lent. "Pre-Lent" is an easy term for the three Sundays preceding Lent. Those Sundays are called Septuagesima, Sexagesima, and Quinquagesima -- symbolically representing 70, 60, and 50 days before Easter, respectively.

On Sunday, February 5, the church celebrates Septuagesima Sunday. Lamb of God marks this date with the Divine Service at 9:00 am.

The readings for the Septuagesima Sunday are:

Old Testament Reading - Exodus 17:1-7

Epistle Reading - 1 Corinthians 9:24-10:5

Gospel Reading - Matthew 20:1-16

The Divine Service is celebrated at Lamb of God every Sunday at 9:00 am, and every Wednesday at 7:00 pm.
